1 Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to FreeConverto ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using freeconverto.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the European Economic Area) to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these Terms for that organization.

2 About the Service

FreeConverto is a free online toolkit that includes image tools, PDF tools, AI-powered tools and utility calculators. No account or payment is required to use it.

Most tools run entirely in your web browser. A small number of tools process files on our server or send text to a third-party AI provider, as explained in our Privacy Policy. We may add, change, limit or remove any tool or feature at any time, with or without notice.

3 Using Our Tools

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to use the Service for your personal or business needs, subject to these Terms. You may use the results produced by the tools for personal or commercial purposes, provided you have the right to use the files you process.

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts or other automated means to access the Service, or scrape or copy it at scale
• Overload, disrupt or attempt to bypass the technical limits or security of the Service
• Reverse engineer, copy, resell or redistribute the Service or any of its tools as your own product

4 Your Files and Content

• You own your files. We do not claim any ownership of the files, images, documents or text you process with our tools, or of the results.
• You are responsible for them. You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, every file or piece of text you submit, and that doing so does not violate any law or anyone else's rights.
• Limited permission to process. For tools that use our server or an AI provider, you give us permission to process your file or text only as needed to produce the result you requested. How files are handled and deleted is described in our Privacy Policy.
• Keep your own copies. Always keep the original of any file you process. We are not responsible for lost, damaged or altered files.

5 AI Tools

Some of our tools use artificial intelligence, including the AI Text Summarizer, AI PDF Summarizer, Chat with PDF, AI Image Background Remover and AI Image Upscaler. By using them you understand that:

• AI-generated output can be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated or misleading, and may omit important information
• You are responsible for checking the output before relying on it or sharing it
• Output must not be relied on as legal, medical, financial or other professional advice
• Similar or identical output may be produced for other users
• You should not submit passwords, financial account details, government ID numbers or other highly sensitive information

6 Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service lawfully and respectfully. You must not use it to:

• Process, create or distribute content that is illegal, or that sexually exploits or endangers children
• Infringe copyrights, trademarks, privacy or other rights of any person
• Remove a password or protection from a file you do not own or do not have permission to open (for example with the Unlock PDF tool)
• Create or spread malware, spam, fraudulent or deceptive material, or harass, threaten or defame others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, other users' data or any connected service

We may block access to the Service for anyone we reasonably believe is violating these rules.

7 Advertising and Third-Party Links

FreeConverto is supported by advertising, including ads shown through Google AdSense. Ads and sponsored content may appear on our pages. We do not endorse the products, services or websites that advertisers promote, and any dealings you have with an advertiser are solely between you and that advertiser. Please see our Privacy Policy for how advertising works and how to opt out of personalized ads.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, security or privacy practices.

8 Intellectual Property

The FreeConverto name, logo, website design, text, graphics and code are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except as these Terms allow, you may not copy, modify or distribute them without our written permission.

Other product names mentioned on the site, such as Word, PDF and Windows, are trademarks of their respective owners. FreeConverto is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by them.

9 Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that results such as conversions, compression, OCR text or AI output will be accurate or complete.

10 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FreeConverto and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits, revenue, business or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — even if we were told such loss was possible.

Because the Service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited, to the extent permitted by law, to the amount you paid us to use it, which is zero. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11 Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless FreeConverto and its owner from any claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or the files and content you submit.

12 Changes and Termination

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

We may suspend or end access to the Service, or to any tool, at any time and for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

13 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the courts of Pakistan. If you are a consumer, this does not affect any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the laws of your own country.
